Featured Projects
Entact 68th Street Superfund Site

The 68th Street Site, spanning parts of Baltimore County and Baltimore City, is undergoing remediation to address contamination from seven former landfills that operated from the 1950s to 1970s, while preserving its unique habitat of streams, ponds, and wetlands within an urban setting. Divided into five Management Areas (MAs), the project focuses on targeted cleanup and ecological restoration to mitigate environmental and health risks and restore natural resources. AggDirect hauled materials for multiple aspects of the project, including #57 stone, cover soil, and rip rap. Entact 68th Street Superfund Site

Shaw's Discovery
The Shaw’s Discovery Living Shoreline at Sparrows Point is designed to protect against erosion and support aquatic habitats. In the Mid-Atlantic region, living shorelines are essential for stabilizing coastlines, filtering pollutants, and providing critical habitats for fish and wildlife. This design includes stone vents and a phragmites barrier to enhance water flow and prevent invasive species. AggDirect has hauled over 20,000 tons of sand to make this project possible. AggDirect also hauled Class 2 Base and Class 3 Base for work on the breakers out in the water. For more information on living shorelines click here: Shaw’s Discovery
